Handicraft and Stitch was born from a love of old buttons, new ideas, and the belief that making things matters. 🎨🪡
We’re a Central Ohio-based community dedicated to teaching handcraft skills, reducing fabric waste, and promoting sustainable living through second-hand materials and thoughtful making.
Through our podcast, pop-ups, and online spaces, we aim to create an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone feels encouraged to try, fail, learn, and grow. No fancy tools or perfect projects required—just a willingness to try and a heart for community. 💬🌼
This is a place for menders, makers, beginners, dreamers, and do-it-yourselfers. A place where a threadbare quilt still has value, and a thrifted dress is the beginning of something magical.
Thanks for being here. Let’s stitch something meaningful—together!

Meet the Team!
Handicraft and Stitch is run by two women who basically came out of the womb threading a bobbin. Rachael got her start when her grandma Ruby gave her a needle, thread, and fabric to help calm her wild energy. She’s been stitching, altering, and quilting ever since. Nikki asked her parents for a sewing machine for her eighth birthday. She learned to sew clothes in high school and has worked in craft stores ever since. They're here to share what they’ve learned, pass along secondhand wisdom, and build a creative circle that’s all about heart, hands, and making do beautifully.
